All SARA caregivers are required to take the 2 part course for Affirming Care for LGBTQIA+ residents of Long Term Care Facilities.
This requirement is mandatory according to the NYS Department of Health.
Please get started by visiting their Learning Management System at www.nylearnsph.com.
You will need to follow the instructions to create a user ID and password in order to take courses.
Please save this information for future DOH courses that could be acquired.
After you log in with your information, please visit the Course and Program Catalog and find QALTC-603.
Here’s a picture of what the page looks like. You must complete both parts. Be sure to download or screenshot any certificates that are generated at the end of the course, so you have them as proof you completed the requirement.
Then, forward the certificate to SARA since we will not get a copy and need it for our files.
