SARA Companion Home Care Services is always looking for good people, and you can help. Research has shown, and our own experience supports this, that new hires that come into a company through employee referrals are excellent contributors stay with the company longer and are a more cost- effective recruit.
That’s where you come in! If you know someone who would be a good addition to SARA Companion Home Care Services, and they meet the qualifications as a Skilled, Attentive, Reliable, Assistant, (SARA), refer them for employment; and you may be eligible to receive a $100 bonus!
Refer candidates who meet the qualifications to Human Resources using the Candidate Referral Form. If your candidate is hired and meets the guidelines outlined below in the Program Rules, you will be awarded $100 within 60 days of their hire date.
Program Rules
1. Referral Eligibility: All SARA Companion Home Care Services employees, except manager levels and above, Human Resources personnel, and managers with hiring authority over the referred candidates are eligible to refer candidates.
2. The referral date cannot be earlier than the date of the referring employee’s hire date. The hiring of a referred employee must occur within 180 days (six months) of the initial referral date.
3. The referral must represent the candidate’s first contact with SARA Companion Home Care Services. Temporary, seasonal, contract, and former employees of SARA Companion Home Care Services are not eligible candidates for referral awards.
4. To be eligible for an award, the referrals must first be submitted to Human Resources and must include a “Candidate Referral Form” and a resume or employment application.
5. The referring employee must agree to have his/her name used for introduction.
6. The first employee to refer a candidate will be the only referring employee eligible for payment.
7. Only candidates who meet the essential qualifications for the position will be considered.
8. All candidates will be evaluated for employment consistent with SARA Companion Home Care Services policies and procedures.
9. All information regarding the hiring decision will remain strictly confidential.
10. The referring employee must still be actively employed by SARA Companion Home Care Services during the hired candidate’s first 60 days of employment in order to receive payment. Actively employed is a minimum of hours in a 30-day period.
11. The hired candidate must work a minimum of 120 hours in the first 60 days of employment in order for the referring employee to receive his/her referral bonus.
12. All referral bonus payments will be paid to the referring employee within 30 days after the hired candidate has met the required minimum of 120 hours within the first 60 days of hire.
Any disputes or interpretations of the program will be handled through Human Resources.
